Everybody senses rhythm. Yet rhythm is a challenge for anybody learning to play a piano, organ or other keyboard instrument. This book gives theories, instructions, drawings and exercises for learning rhythm and timing techniques for playing chords on keyboards. It teaches practical methods for developing a varied style of playing with the left hand in time with the right.
This book also teaches how to overcome some of the limits of poorly made keyboard instruments.
Beginners on the keyboard start by opening the first exercise listed at the top of the contents list, Keeping time. Work your way down the list, practising each exercise one after the other. If you don't understand something, keep going and come back to it later. Look at the chord chart at any time.
