Rhythm time!

Pulse timer

Here is how to make and run a simple metronome to help you learn a steady beat.

Go to your desktop and make a new folder there called 'timer'.
If you are not already on the Pulse timer page, browse to this link:

See links below to one text file and one sound file and scroll to see four images.
Click the link to open the text file. Save it into the new folder called 'timer'.
Click the link to the sound file to start it in a player. Save and download the sound file into the new folder.
Right click an image below and save image as into the new folder. Do the same with the other three images. Check that all six files are in the folder.

To play the sound timer, open your timer folder and click the music file to open it in the player.
Turn on your speakers and listen to the beat in 4/4 time. Tap your foot to the beat.

To play the visual timer, click on one of the images to open it in an image viewer.

Edit the preferences of the viewer to select slide show and 1 second between images, and tick loopback.

Open the image again and select to view slideshow.
See the animated timer.

Count '1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and' in time with the changing images.
