Keep to the fingering method shown on this chart as it is the best way overall to play chord progressions on a keyboard.
These chords are to be played with the left hand. Three finger patterns are used for all the triad chords. Each pattern is played with the same three fingers; thumb, pointer and little finger.
Fingering for the left hand is notated as 1 for the thumb, 2 for the pointer finger, 3 for the middle finger, 4 for the next and 5 for the little finger. That is the usual way to number the fingers on the left for the piano. For nearly all the triad chords on this chart, the numbering is 1, 2, 5, starting with the thumb. So do not be confused by the numbers on the chart which start with the little finger as 1. Although that is different notation, it is the same fingering method.
This piano chord chart shows a group of tight and connected chord fingering patterns for the most needed chords in the keys of C, Am, G, Em. F, Dm, Bflat, C# and A#m.
