You can play any kind of music using the fingering and other techniques taught in these two books.
When you have learned to play, record yourself playing. As you play back a recording, listen for anything that may be played or sung better. Play it again until it sounds right.
Some live and unedited test recordings are given below of solo playing on a keyboard. The musician plays notes using close and open fingering with his right hand and plays chords with fingers T, 2 and 5 of his left hand. He makes up the rhythm and reads and plays the melody as he sings the lyrics.

You do not have to sing. Just accompany another singer or musician, or play an instrumental piece. You do not have to play the rhythm as written on the bass clef. Just make up a rhythm.
